The dinner was held at The Hudson Hotel in New York City on October 19, 2005 to celebrate the 2005 release of God of Fire and benefit Cigar Family Charitable Foundation, a non-profit charitable foundation established by the Fuente and Newman families to improve the life of children in Dominican Republic.  During the dinner, God of Fire and other rare cigars made by the Fuente family were auctioned along with the limited edition humidors produced by Prometheus, and $106,750.00 raised from the charity auction was donated to Cigar Family Charitable Foundation.
    
The dinner was hosted by Vincent Nastri and Bill Rella of Barclay Rex, and Graham Howarth and Paul del Rossi of Davidoff at Columbus Circle.
    
During the dinner, the following God of Fire cigars were served:
     
God of Fire by Carlito, 2005 Double Robusto (during the cocktail hours)
  
God of Fire by Don Carlos, 2005 Robusto (before the entree was served)

God of Fire by Carlito, 2004 Churchill (before the dessert was served)
     
Each guest also received God of Fire by Carlito, 2004 Churchill in a coffin box to take home. The Macallan Single Malt Scotch Whisky was served throughout the evening along with fine wine.
